Manuscript assessment and editing
Cold reads, developmental editing, line editing, continuity review, copy preparation, and final editorial cleanup for fiction, nonfiction, and selected specialty projects.
Publishing services
LT Publishing helps independent authors and small publishers turn manuscripts into professional print and ebook files. We handle editorial review, book formatting, cover and interior design, production troubleshooting, and clearly defined KDP file correction.
How we work
Some books need a full editorial and production process. Others need one stubborn problem solved: a rejected KDP cover, incorrect bleed, broken margins, unreadable back cover text, poor image placement, ebook conversion trouble, or a print-ready PDF that will not pass review.
We begin by identifying the actual problem. If a targeted fix is enough, we do not turn it into a full package. If the book needs deeper editorial, design, or formatting work, we say so before any commitment is made.
Editorial services
Editorial support is not limited to proofreading. We offer manuscript assessment, developmental editing, line editing, continuity review, copy preparation, and final pre-publication review.
The aim is to make the book stronger while preserving the author’s voice. A manuscript assessment may identify structure, pacing, continuity, characterization, tone, or market-positioning issues. A line edit works closer to the sentence level, improving clarity, rhythm, emphasis, and consistency without sanding away the author’s style.
Book design
Cover and interior design are approached as professional design work rather than template placement. We consider typography, hierarchy, trim size, spine width, image treatment, chapter architecture, front matter, back matter, and how the finished book functions as a physical object.
For interiors, that means readable type, consistent spacing, clean chapter openings, proper margins, and files built for the selected trim size and paper type. For covers, it means front, spine, and back working together as one complete print object.

For books that genuinely need it, a defined end-to-end scope can include editing, cover design, interior formatting, ebook preparation, platform setup, proof review, and correction.
KDP and print-on-demand
We can prepare and troubleshoot books for Amazon KDP, Lulu, and most other self-publishing and print-on-demand platforms. Typical work includes print-ready PDF preparation, cover sizing, trim and bleed correction, ebook conversion, metadata guidance, proof review, and final file cleanup.
IngramSpark is the current exception because of an unresolved account-verification issue, not because of any limitation in production capability.
Fees and scope
Publishing services should solve a problem, not create a financial crisis. We define the scope, explain what is wrong, and quote the work clearly before beginning.
Most authors do not need a package costing thousands of dollars. They need someone who can identify the problem, fix it properly, and explain what was done.
We do not sell unnecessary add-ons, vague prestige, guaranteed sales, or promises about reviews. We charge for editorial, design, formatting, and production work actually performed.
Working policy
Client projects are scoped in writing and handled through escrow. You know what will be delivered, what it will cost, and when payment is released.
You retain your manuscript, production files, publishing accounts, royalties, and decision-making control. Working with us does not create an ownership stake in your book.
What we will not do
You cannot buy your way into publication under one of our imprints.
Hiring us for editing, design, formatting, or production services does not guarantee that a book will be accepted by LT Publishing or LT Select. Imprint publication is a separate editorial decision based on the manuscript, the fit, and the book’s readiness for publication.
If a book needs substantial revision, we will say so. If we are not the right fit, we will say that too. Our role is to help produce a stronger book—not to collect a fee for putting an unfinished one into print.
If we provide paid services on a book that is not taken on by one of our imprints, the author remains free to publish it independently or place it elsewhere. The work we do is a publishing service, not a purchase of publishing rights or an obligation to publish through LT Publishing.
