What this service is for
When the book is ready, but the files are not.
KDP file problems are usually technical: the trim size does not match the PDF, bleed is set incorrectly, text sits too close to the edge, the gutter is too narrow, the cover was built from the wrong page count, fonts are not embedded, or images are not suitable for print.
We separate production errors from editorial problems. If the manuscript itself needs revision, we will say so. If the issue is simply a print file that needs to be rebuilt or corrected, we will focus on that.
Rejected covers
Full-wrap cover sizing, spine-width problems, barcode-area conflicts, text too close to trim or fold lines, hardback case-wrap issues, and backgrounds that do not extend correctly.
Bleed and image problems
Edge-to-edge images, full-page art, maps, diagrams, illustrated interiors, low-resolution images, background borders, and white-edge problems caused by files built without proper bleed.
Typography and PDF problems
Embedded fonts, inconsistent chapter openings, unreadable back cover copy, bad line spacing, widows and orphans, distorted images, and files exported from the wrong settings.
What we need
A good diagnosis starts with the actual error.
Send the file KDP rejected, the trim size, paper type, format type, page count, and the exact warning or screenshot from KDP’s preview or review process. If the issue involves a cover, send the cover PDF and the KDP template or details used to build it.
We will tell you whether this looks like a targeted repair, a partial rebuild, or a larger formatting problem. We do not ask you to buy a full package when a narrow fix will do.
