LT Publishing is the literary imprint — work we believe in enough to publish under our name. No upfront fee. No packages. We read everything submitted, respond honestly, and only say yes when we mean it.
LT Publishing is not a genre imprint and not a commercial press. We publish work that is formally ambitious, emotionally honest, and written with the conviction that readers can do interpretive work without being guided through it.
We don't have a formula. But there are qualities we return to — and a submission that carries most of them gets our full attention.
Being clear about this saves everyone time. These aren't judgments on quality — they're simply outside the scope of this imprint.
Genre fiction may be a strong fit for LT Select. Production services without imprint consideration are available through LT Media.
We are a small imprint. We take on very few manuscripts each year. Selection is not a service we sell and cannot be purchased through LT Media or LT Select. It happens when a manuscript arrives that we cannot stop thinking about.
If that's not your manuscript this time, we'll tell you clearly — and tell you why, if we can.
You retain copyright. LT Publishing holds a limited license to produce, distribute, and sell the book through agreed channels. That license can be ended by either party with reasonable notice.
Royalty terms are stated plainly before you sign anything: what percentage you receive, how it's calculated, when it's paid. No vague language, no complex formulas designed to obscure what you actually earn.
If the book goes out of print or sales fall below a defined threshold, rights revert to you automatically. No buyback clauses, no exit fees.
We respond to every submission. If your manuscript isn't right for LT Publishing, you'll hear that clearly and, where possible, why. We don't leave submissions unanswered.
If selected, the editorial process is collaborative. You see every suggested change. The cover is designed in partnership — you'll have meaningful input, not just approval of a finished file.
We are a small operation in Lisbon. We work carefully and don't rush books. If you need a book produced on a tight timeline, LT Media is the better fit.
No query letter required. No agent. Just your manuscript and a brief description. We read everything and respond to everyone — usually within four weeks.
